General observations
General observations are annotations that are not positioned on a plan. They’re useful for documenting general findings about a site, cross-cutting issues or observations made before you’ve imported the plans.
When to use general observations
Section titled “When to use general observations”- You don’t have a plan for the project yet.
- The observation isn’t about a specific location (for example, a general waterproofing issue, a note about site cleanliness).
- You want to group photos and comments independently of the plans.
Create a general observation
Section titled “Create a general observation”From inside a project, go to the General Observations section via the project menu. Tap + to create a new observation. Just like plan annotations, you can add photos, videos and audio comments.
Pin an observation to a plan
Section titled “Pin an observation to a plan”If you want to link a general observation to a plan imported later, you can pin it to a plan by swiping on the observation and choosing the appropriate option. The observation then becomes an annotation positioned on the selected plan.
On the web dashboard
Section titled “On the web dashboard”General observations are also visible on the web dashboard. They appear in a dedicated section of the project, with their photos and comments.
