Password-protected links

Every shared report is protected by a password. Your recipient must enter this password to view or download the report.

Set a password

When creating a share link from the iOS app:

1. After exporting, choose Share online.
2. Enter a password of your choice (6 characters minimum), or tap the auto-generate button to create a random one.
3. The password is tied to the share link.

Send the password

When you send the share link to your recipient, send the password separately for added security. For example:

• The link by email, the password by text message.
• Or both in the same email if the security level allows it.

Tip

Choose a password that’s easy to share with your client (for example the site name followed by a number). The password can be changed at any time if needed.

Brute-force protection

The viewer limits password attempts. After 5 incorrect tries, access is temporarily blocked for 15 minutes. This protects your reports against unauthorized access attempts.
