Android App

PhotoReport for Android is a complete app: create projects, import plans, place viewpoints, photograph the job site and generate your reports, offline if needed.

The account and the data are the same as on iPhone, iPad and in the browser. A photo taken on Android shows up on your colleagues’ screens a few seconds later.

What to know before you start

The Android app shares its interface with the web dashboard, adapted to a phone screen. If you know one, you know the other.

What Android adds on top of the browser:

  • Your phone’s camera and gallery, right inside the app.
  • The GPS position recorded at the moment you take the photo.
  • Offline mode: your projects stay available without a network, and your changes go out when you reconnect.
  • Google sign-in through the system account picker.
  • Phone notifications.
  • Your subscription, handled through Google Play.

Differences from the iOS app

Both apps do the same job. Two things set them apart today:

  • Replacing a plan with a new version, keeping the viewpoints already placed, exists only on iOS. See Replace a plan.
  • Attaching a general observation to a plan after the fact is done from iOS.
