What's new
2026.10 - October 3, 2026
Section titled “2026.10 - October 3, 2026”- Every observation in one list: a new Observations screen shows every viewpoint on every plan and every general observation, grouped by plan. Search by number or comment, group by plan, colour, day or author, and spot the observations with no photo or no comment before you export. Open it for the whole project, or for a single plan from the plan toolbar. See iOS, Android and web dashboard.
- Undo, and Recently deleted: right after any delete, an Undo bar lets you take it back for 8 seconds, and deleted items stay in Recently deleted for 7 days before being removed for good. Deleted projects are in the app settings, everything deleted inside a project is in its project settings. In a shared project, every member can see what was deleted and bring it back.
- Start without a plan: create a project and record general observations right away. Add plans later, only if you need them. A new project offers two cards, one to add a plan and one to add an observation.
- Several photos in a row (iOS and Android): keep shooting without leaving the camera. Every photo lands on the same observation. On iOS, tap Add another photo; on Android, choose Take photos and back out of the camera when you are done.
- Actions you can see: a visible menu button (⋯ on iOS, ⋮ on Android and the web) on every project, plan and observation. Press and hold (or right-click in the browser) opens the same menu. Press and hold a viewpoint for its own menu: open it, move it, change its orientation or colour, add photos, comment or delete it.
- Pin a general observation to a plan on Android and the web: choose the plan, tap where the observation belongs and set its orientation, as on iPhone and iPad.
- Choose what the export includes (Android and web, as already on iOS): tick only the PDF report, the HTML report, the source plans or the photos you need. A lighter archive downloads faster on site. See Create a report.
Changed
Section titled “Changed”- Cleaner reports: photos are never cut in half at a page break, and a long observation continues on a new card marked “(continued)”. Missing photos are flagged as “Media unavailable” instead of silently left out, and an empty report says so on its cover.
- HTML reports read like a document: they scroll from top to bottom, with comments and audio comments in the page, and they can be printed from the browser. This applies to shared links too. See View a shared report.
- A warning before an empty report: if the filters exclude everything, or the project has nothing in it yet, the report screen says so before you export.
- A new project no longer asks for plans (iOS): name, notes and an optional cover photo are enough.
- Adding a viewpoint from the plan toolbar: a new + button adds a viewpoint. From Readonly mode, it asks whether you are visiting or catching up.
- Ready for iOS 27 (iOS): updated for iOS and iPadOS 27. Pins in exported PDF reports no longer get a black ring.
- No more duplicates in the camera roll (iOS): photos picked from your library are no longer saved back to it. Only photos taken with the camera are.
- Send feedback without leaving the app (Android and web): Settings > About > Feedback > Send feedback now opens a form in the app, with the option to attach the technical log.
Android and web - September 14, 2026
Section titled “Android and web - September 14, 2026”- PhotoReport arrives on Android: the app downloads from Google Play and does the same job as on iPhone. Shoot on site, annotate plans, dictate an observation, work without a network and generate a report, all on a phone or tablet. Your account and your projects are the same everywhere.
- The web dashboard becomes a complete app: until now limited to viewing, it now lets you create projects, import plans, place and edit viewpoints, add photos and videos, draw on them, record an audio comment and generate your reports. With nothing to install, and on every plan including the free one.
- Creating reports from the browser: choose what goes into the report with filters by plan, period, author, media type and colour, set the photo quality, then download an archive or publish a password-protected link.
- Drawing on photos in the browser and on Android: pen, highlighter, circle, arrow and whole-stroke eraser, in the same format as on iPhone and iPad. A drawing made on one device appears identically on all the others.
- Audio comments recordable from the browser: dictate straight from your computer, without going through your phone.
Changed
Section titled “Changed”- Using the app without an account on Android: try the app immediately, then create an account whenever you like. Everything you have already done is carried into the new account.
- Managing shared reports from the browser: change a report’s password or delete a share without going through the iOS app.
- The documentation now covers all three platforms: iOS app, Android app and web dashboard.
2026.9 - September 1, 2026
Section titled “2026.9 - September 1, 2026”- Redesigned viewpoint details on iPhone: the panel now stays open below the photo instead of hiding behind a button. Drag it up to read comments, status and details, drag it down to see the photo full size. The comment, description, audio and status come first; color, numbering, location and authorship are grouped at the end. The iPad side panel is unchanged.
- Multi-page PDF import: import a PDF drawing set and every page becomes a plan of its own. Nothing past page one goes missing anymore.
- Photo drawings that look the same on every device: pen, highlighter, stroke eraser, circle and arrow, drawn straight onto the photo from a palette you can move wherever you like. Your drawings appear the same way on iPhone, on iPad, in the web dashboard and in your reports. Drawings made before this version are converted automatically.
Changed
Section titled “Changed”- Smoother heavy CAD plans: the heaviest plans pan and zoom without stutter, and the app, the dashboard and your reports now agree on which plans those are.
- Sync failures that tell you what happened: every blocked item is named, with the reason and what to do next. Discarding one now asks for confirmation.
2026.7 - July 6, 2026
Section titled “2026.7 - July 6, 2026”- Custom colors (Pro): create a color palette for each project, rename or hide colors, set a default color, and filter your annotations by color.
- Mobile plan toolbar: switch modes from a floating palette you can move anywhere on the screen, or collapse it into a small puck to clear the view.
- Sharper, zoomable reports: plans now render as crisp, zoomable vector graphics, with a color legend and each viewpoint’s color shown.
- Full offline downloads: download all of a project’s media in advance so you can browse it without a connection.
Changed
Section titled “Changed”- Smoother sync: better handling of restrictive Wi-Fi connections.
2026.6 - June 2, 2026
Section titled “2026.6 - June 2, 2026”- Account security strengthened: you can now change your email address or password directly in the app, after re-authentication. Email sign-ups receive a verification email.
- Brand your reports: Add your company logo, name, and details so every PDF and HTML report carries your identity. Your company profile now follows your devices and the web dashboard.
- Live shared-project discovery: when a colleague shares a project with you while the app is open, it appears right away, with no need to sign back in.
Changed
Section titled “Changed”- Larger reports are more reliable: big PDF and HTML reports export without blank pages or missing photos.
- Projects kept after sign-out are now read-only: downloaded copies of your cloud projects stay viewable, but are editable only once you sign back in.
- Annotation toolbar regrouped: an Add menu for photos and an options menu for the other actions.
- Invoicing under your company name: reachable directly from Settings > Your subscription.
- Plan cover and drawing sync between your own devices.
- Annotation markers correctly positioned in reports, including plans with a non-standard crop box.
- In-app rating prompt that was not appearing for some eligible users.
2026.5 - May 7, 2026
Section titled “2026.5 - May 7, 2026”- Create Report replaces the old “Export” button and unifies preview, PDF/HTML/ZIP export and online sharing in a single flow.
- Annotation filter applied to reports: if you filter by day, author or media type in the plan viewer, the same filter is applied to the exported report.
- Audio comments in HTML and PDF reports: inline HTML5 player in the HTML, “Audio comment” labels in the PDF.
- Onboarding rebuilt as a 2-screen sign-in pitch focused on the benefits of having an account.
- Sample project: a “Try a sample project” button on the empty welcome screen lets you explore a finished project in one tap.
- Plan-mode coachmark: the first time you open a plan, a brief explanation introduces Read-only, Visit and Catch-up modes.
- Empty-project sidebar coachmark: the sidebar of a new project guides you to add a first plan or a general observation.
- Plan covers in the iPhone sidebar: rows are flattened to a single line and now show the plan preview, just like on iPad.
- User-selectable photo capture quality (Standard 1280 px / High 1920 px) in Settings.
- Default back-camera zoom: pick the lens (0.5×, 1×, 3×…) the camera opens at, based on the lenses available on your device.
- All / None shortcut on the annotation filter pills.
- HTML report is mobile-responsive (hamburger drawer below 768 px) and fully self-contained (bundled assets, no Firebase Storage dependency).
- Refined PDF layout: brand colors preserved, running header and “PhotoReport” footer from page 2, print-tuned typography.
Changed
Section titled “Changed”- Collaboration folded into Project Settings: the separate “Share / Collaborators” screen is gone; member and invitation management now lives alongside project name and notes.
- Projects toolbar collapsed into a single “View Options” menu: display mode, sort and filter together.
- Online sharing is faster: the per-file upload pass is gone (the bundled ZIP is the source of truth). A unified progress bar details each phase (generate → package → upload).
- Add another photo button repositioned to the bottom-left of the camera preview, within thumb reach.
- Create Report stays tappable in Visit and Catch-up modes.
- Report export no longer crashes for projects with zero plans.
- Project cover sync to collaborators now works for renames and deletes too.

Section titled “2026.4.1 - April 14, 2026”- Extended localization: German (de), Spanish (es), Italian (it), Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR), Dutch (nl) and Belgian Dutch / Flemish (nl-BE).
- You can now change your display name from account settings.
- Compass on demo projects is no longer enabled by default until you calibrate it.
- Demo plan assets that failed to load due to Unicode filename mismatch.
- Soft-deleted projects appearing in the cloud sync dialog.
- French permission prompts now display the app name instead of

- Spurious
updateAnnotationsync warning on annotation creation.
