Photos and videos

Each viewpoint carries its own photos and videos. The dashboard shows them as a gallery and lets you manage them without leaving the plan.

Adding media

From a viewpoint’s detail panel:

• Add photos: choose one or more image files on your computer.
• Add a video: .mp4 is the safest format, playable on every platform.

Uploads run in the background. Each item shows its state, and a failed upload can be retried individually or all at once.

Note

The browser has no access to a camera in PhotoReport. Capture happens on your phone or tablet, with the iOS or Android app. Photos taken in the field appear here as soon as they sync.

Viewing an item

Click a thumbnail to open it large. You can then:

• Move to the previous or next item, or jump straight to one from the gallery.
• Play a video with the player controls.
• Check the item’s properties.

Photo properties

The properties panel shows:

• The photo’s number within the viewpoint.
• Its location, if coordinates were recorded at capture. A View on map button opens the spot. Otherwise it reads No location.

Location is recorded by the mobile apps at the moment of capture. A photo added from a computer generally has none.

Rotating a photo

The Rotate button turns the photo by 90°. The rotation applies for every collaborator and carries into exported reports.

Note

A photo annotated by finger or stylus on iOS before version 2026.9 cannot be rotated from the browser until it has been converted to the shared drawing format. Open it once in the iOS app to trigger the conversion.

Drawing on a photo

The Draw button opens the drawing editor: circle, point, highlight. See Draw on a photo.

Deleting

Delete this photo and Delete this video ask for confirmation.

Caution

Deleting an item is irreversible and applies to every collaborator.

Voice recordings follow different rules: one per viewpoint, five minutes maximum. See Audio comments.
