Import a plan
A plan is the reference document on which you place your viewpoints.
Importing a PDF
Section titled “Importing a PDF”- In the project, tap Add a plan.
- Choose Import a PDF.
- Select one or more files.
- Check the summary, then tap Import.
Each file shows its progress. The import continues if you move to another screen.
A multi-page PDF becomes several plans
Section titled “A multi-page PDF becomes several plans”A plan always corresponds to a single page. So an 8-page PDF becomes 8 separate plans, in document order.
The confirmation screen tells you before the import starts, and you can rename and reorder the plans afterwards. This is the same behaviour as on iPhone, iPad and in the browser.
Photographing a paper plan
Section titled “Photographing a paper plan”This is the most common case in the field: the plan is pinned to the site office wall and you do not have the file.
- Tap Add a plan.
- Choose Take a photo, or Plan from a photo to start from an image in your gallery.
- Frame the plan flat on and shoot.
The plan is created under the name “Photo plan”, which you can rename right away.
Rename, reorder, delete
Section titled “Rename, reorder, delete”From the plans grid:
- Rename the plan.
- Reorder by dragging. The order is the one your reports will use.
- Delete, which removes the plan permanently after 30 days.
If the import fails
Section titled “If the import fails”| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Only PDF files are accepted | Use Plan from a photo for an image |
| File too large | Shrink or split the PDF before importing |
| Storage quota exceeded | Free up space or change plan. See Storage |
Importing a plan needs a connection. Without a network the action is marked unavailable.
