Draw on a photo

A photo shows what is there. A drawing shows what to look at. With your finger, on the spot, in seconds.

Opening the editor

1. Open a viewpoint and tap a photo to show it full screen.
2. Tap Draw.

The tools

Tool	Use
Pen	Free, opaque stroke. The basic tool for circling and underlining
Highlighter	Semi-transparent free stroke, to cover an area without hiding what is underneath
Circle	Drag to define an ellipse
Arrow	Drag from the start towards the tip
Eraser	Removes a whole stroke in one tap, not just the part you touch

Two settings go with them: the colour, from the PhotoReport palette, and the stroke thickness.

Tip

Increase the thickness when drawing with a finger. A thin line drawn on a phone screen becomes hard to read once the photo is scaled down in a report.

Correcting

• Undo last stroke and Redo step back and forward.
• Clear all removes every stroke, after confirmation. Irreversible.

Nothing is kept until you tap Save.

The drawing stays editable

The drawing is not merged into the photo. It is kept separately, as strokes:

• You can reopen the editor later to carry on, erase or add.
• The original photo stays untouched, and the ZIP archive of your reports contains both.

The format is shared across every platform. A drawing made on Android appears identically on iPhone, iPad, in the browser and in exported reports.

Note

A photo annotated on iOS before version 2026.9 uses the old drawing format, which Android cannot edit. A message tells you so. Open it once in the iOS app: it is converted automatically and becomes editable everywhere again.

Offline

Drawing works without a network. It goes out with everything else when you reconnect.
