View a shared report
This page describes what your recipient (client, partner, colleague) sees when they open a shared report link. No installation is needed, the report opens in any web browser.
Open a report
Section titled “Open a report”- The recipient clicks the link you sent them.
- A page appears with the project name and a password field.
- The recipient enters the password and clicks Access report.
- A page shows the report’s availability date and two buttons: View report and Download ZIP archive.
What the recipient can do
Section titled “What the recipient can do”- View the HTML report: View report opens the report in a new tab. It reads from top to bottom like a document: general observations first, then one section per plan, each starting with the plan’s title and its annotated drawing.
- Read comments and play audio in the page: each observation’s comment is shown above its photos, and audio comments play inline with their duration shown.
- Print the report: the HTML report can be printed from the browser, with every observation and its comment in reading order.
- Download the ZIP archive: get a complete copy of the report (report documents, photos, plans, audio files) on their computer.
If a photo or video could not be included in the report, a “Media unavailable” tile takes its place, so the recipient knows something is missing rather than assuming there was nothing.
The recipient does not need to create a PhotoReport account or install the app.
Possible errors
Section titled “Possible errors”- Wrong password: an “Incorrect password.” message appears, with the number of attempts remaining. After 5 attempts, access is blocked for 15 minutes.
- Report expired: if the expiry date has passed, a “Report Expired” message indicates the report is no longer available. The recipient should contact you for a new link.
- Invalid link: if the link has been deleted or is malformed, a “Report Not Found” page is shown.
