Home screen

The home screen is the first thing you see when you open PhotoReport. It shows all your projects and gives you access to settings, notifications and new project creation.

Your projects are displayed as cards. Each card shows:

  • The project name and cover photo. A project without a cover photo shows the photo of its first general observation instead, so a project started without a plan is still recognisable.
  • The last modified date.
  • The plan count (only when the project has plans) and the photo count.
  • The member count (for shared cloud projects).
  • A sync indicator: a green checkmark means the project is up to date, an hourglass indicates pending changes, a crossed-out cloud means the device is offline.

Tap a card to open the project.

Each card carries a ⋯ button with the project’s actions. Pressing and holding the card opens the same menu.

  • Open: opens the project.
  • Project settings: opens the project settings, to rename the project, change its cover photo or manage its members (see Projects).
  • Delete: shown on the projects you own. The confirmation says what goes with the project.
  • Leave project: shown instead of Delete on a project someone shared with you. You lose access to it, and the owner and the other members keep it.

A deleted project disappears from the home screen, but it is not gone. For a few seconds a Project deleted bar offers Undo. After that, the project stays in Settings > Recently deleted for 7 days, where you can restore it or delete it permanently. See Settings.

All display settings on the home screen are grouped into a single View Options menu in the toolbar:

  • Display mode: Grid (default, cards with cover photos) or List (a compact view, handy when you have many projects).
  • Filter: show all projects, local projects only, or shared projects only.
  • Sort: by modification date (newest or oldest first) or by name (A-Z or Z-A).

Use the search bar at the top of the screen to find a project by name.

The bell icon at the top of the screen opens the notification center. You’ll find:

  • Collaboration notifications (changes made by a team member).
  • Export confirmations (report ready or error).
  • Sync alerts (download complete, conflict detected).

A red badge on the icon shows the number of unread notifications.

Tap the blue + button to create a new project. See Projects for details.
