iOS troubleshooting
The app crashes on launch
Section titled “The app crashes on launch”- Check that your device is on iOS 17 or later.
- Fully close the app (swipe up from the app switcher) and relaunch it.
- Restart your iPhone or iPad.
- If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall from the App Store. If you have a Pro/Teams account, your cloud projects will be re-downloaded automatically.
Sync is not working
Section titled “Sync is not working”- Check that you’re connected to the internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
- Check that you’re signed in to your account in Settings.
- Check the sync indicator on the home screen (hourglass = in progress, crossed cloud = offline).
- Open the project and check the sync details for any errors.
- Tap Verify sync to run an integrity check.
Photos are blurry or missing
Section titled “Photos are blurry or missing”- Photos load in the background after sync. Wait a moment, especially on a slow network.
- If a photo stays blurry, close and reopen the project to force a reload.
I’m not receiving notifications
Section titled “I’m not receiving notifications”- Check that notifications are enabled in iPhone Settings > Notifications > PhotoReport.
- Check that notifications aren’t muted for this specific project (in the project’s collaborators list).
- Notifications are batched every 60 seconds, a slight delay is normal.
I can’t find my projects after reinstalling
Section titled “I can’t find my projects after reinstalling”Sign in with the same account (Apple, Google or email) you used before. Your cloud projects will be re-downloaded. Local projects (not synced) cannot be recovered after an uninstall.
I deleted something by mistake
Section titled “I deleted something by mistake”- Right after the delete, tap Undo in the bar at the bottom of the screen. It stays for 8 seconds and undoes the last delete only.
- Too late for Undo? Deleted items wait in Recently deleted for 7 days:
- a deleted project: Settings > Recently deleted. Only its owner can restore it.
- a plan, viewpoint, observation, photo, video or audio note: open the project, then Project settings > Recently deleted.
- Tap Restore. The item comes back with its original number. If the row says “Restore [name] first”, restore that parent item before.
After 7 days, items are removed for good. See Recently deleted.
I can’t create a project although I deleted mine
Section titled “I can’t create a project although I deleted mine”On the free plan, a project in Recently deleted still uses your single free project. Delete it permanently from Settings > Recently deleted, or upgrade. PhotoReport offers both when you try to create a project. After 7 days the slot frees up on its own.
